INDUSTRIAL FLOOR CLEANER COVID-Safe Update
In these uncertain and rapidly changing times, Sweep Scrub wish to let every customer know what we are doing to support our community through the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are monitoring the situation daily, making decisions best on the latest guidance from Federal, State, Local Government and health authorities.
We wish to assure you that the highest Occupational health and safety standards are being upheld, because, at the end of the day, we all share the same concerns. No one wants to contract the virus. We do not wish to get the virus from you, or vice versa.
We are working with all customers to implement NO CONTACT 4.0 m2 distancing rules. We can provide services and stay well away during our time on site. Staff hold all necessary PPE to protect each other, from each other. Many customers are undertaking increased warehouse cleaning services. Only clean surfaces can be disinfected, as per the below information, provided direct from our chemical supplier:
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommend a range of control measures be implemented to minimise the spread of Coronavirus, including hand hygiene, use of PPE and effective cleaning methods.
Hand hygiene recommendations include the use of soapy water and alcohol based hand rubs, to minimise the risk of transmission via person-to-person contact.
In regards to cleaning of environmental surfaces, the use of detergent and water is recommended for cleaning all surfaces, followed by commonly used hospital disinfectants, such as Sodium hypochlorite.
In light of the recent risks presented by the Coronavirus, it is important to remember that all products containing sodium hypochlorite are subject to natural loss in activity over time. It is considered best practice for users of chlorinated products to test the concentration of the product regularly to within manufacturer’s guidelines.
In addition, the WHO recommend the use of “Safe routine procedures” for laundry, food service utensils and medical waste.
For specific advice on “safe routine procedures”, we recommend reviewing the detailed recommendations in the WHO guidance article, entitled “Infection prevention and control during health care when novel coronavirus (nCoV) infection is suspected” Please see:

Below is a summary of measures we have put in place:
Regularly updating our teams PPE guidelines and preventative measures to reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19. This includes enforcement of established personal hygiene regimes across all operations.
Ensuring all employees are fully aware of the COVID-19 symptoms and take appropriate and timely action as appropriate.
Reviewing our external supply chain to ensure continuity of service.
We have undertaken extensive planning and preparation to continue to support all customers during the disruption caused by the outbreak. We appreciate this is an unsettling time for all, and wish to assure you we are doing whatever we can to support all customers where possible.
Please contact us with any queries or concerns, so we can both safely navigate through this challenging time.
